A man was killed in a hit-and-run accident after a speeding double-cabin vehicle struck his car from behind on Sea View Road near Bukhari Commercial in DHA Phase VI, within the jurisdiction of the Darakhshan Police Station on Thursday.
According to the police, the offending vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision. As a result of the impact, the driver of the car died on the spot, while the other passengers in the vehicle remained unharmed.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities, where the deceased was identified as 36-year-old Salman, son of Saleem, and a resident of Orangi Town. According to SHO Darakhshan Rasheed Ali, the police were reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace the fleeing vehicle and identify its driver. Further investigation was underway.
