The Al-Falah police on Monday arrested three alleged members of a gang involved in circulating counterfeit currency during an operation carried out by an on a tip-off. Officials said fake currency notes worth Rs200,000 were recovered from the possession of the suspects.

According to SSP Investigation Korangi Muhammad Qais Khan, the suspects were identified as Sajid Ali Shahani, Saddam Hussain Jatoi and Kamil Hamza. The action was taken after police received information that a group was allegedly defrauding citizens by supplying counterfeit currency notes in different parts of the city.
