BATKHELA: For the first time in the history of Malakand district, an extraordinary scene of passion, determination and courage was witnessed as the “Pak Warrior Championship” turned into a memorable and historic event.
Held on the special directives of Deputy Commissioner and Commandant Malakand Levies Muhammad Fayyaz Khan Sherpao, the national-level mixed martial arts (MMA) championship concluded successfully while inspiring a new spirit among the youth.
Talented fighters from different parts of the country displayed remarkable skill, strength, and determination inside the ring. Every bout was filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and high-quality sportsmanship, while spectators enthusiastically lauded each fight.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Hamid, Additional Assistant Commissioner Tabish Khan, and District Sports Officer Saeed Akhtar attended the closing ceremony as chief guests.
The guests later distributed shields, belts and prizes among the outstanding players and paid tribute to their passion and performance.The foolproof security arrangements throughout the event reflected the administration’s effective planning. The personnel of the Malakand Levies remained on high alert, while Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, and Tehsil Municipal Administration staff also remained fully active.
The championship was not merely a sporting event but also carried a practical message of encouraging youth towards positive activities, promoting martial arts, and keeping alive the spirit of honour, willpower and victory. The Pak Warrior Championship proved that the youth of Malakand are full of talent and, if provided opportunities, can establish their identity at the national level.
