KARAK: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) employees union, Karak, on Monday announced to stage strike against the non-payment of salaries and pensions to the serving employees and retired staff for the past four months.
During an emergency meeting, the union president Umar Ayaz said that the TMA employees and retired workers had not received their salaries and pensions for the last four months, causing severe financial hardships to them.
He said that protests had been postponed several times following assurances from the authorities, but despite repeated promises, payments had still not been made. The meeting unanimously decided to launch a pen-down and work boycott strike from May 18, 2026, while all concerned municipal branches would also remain completely locked.
