The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) believes in the power of votes, and will make PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari prime minister through democratic means, PPP MPA Suhail Anwar Siyal said during a joint press conference with Sindh government spokesman Buland Khan Junejo and other party leaders at the Larkana Press Club.

Siyal said that under the directives of Bilawal, Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur, Marka-e-Haq events were organised across the province. A rally and musical night were also held in Larkana, and people participated in it in large numbers, he added.

He said Bilawal has maintained from the first day that the party with majority support should form the government. He claimed that after May 9, Bilawal had been offered the position of foreign minister but instead continued representing Pakistan internationally.

Replying to a question, Siyal said the PPP has always condemned increases in petroleum prices and would continue supporting democracy while raising its voice against wrong policies. Countries face difficult times, and Pakistan is currently facing security and economic challenges, but the PPP leadership will overcome them, he added.

He said the PPP has never practised personal politics, and believes criticism should remain limited to policies rather than personal attacks. Referring to political opponents, he remarked that the opposition should wait for the 2029 general elections, in which decisions would be made through ballots.

He also said Sindh suffered natural disasters, including floods and heavy rains, which damaged infrastructure across the province. Bilawal secured an international housing project for 2.1 million homes for flood victims, he added.

Junejo said May 9 was a significant day for Pakistan’s success, and appreciated the people of Larkana for making the rally and celebrations successful. The PPP has always supported democracy and accountability, he added, claiming that the party has stood with the people during difficult times.

PPP Larkana Division General Secretary Abdul Fattah Bhutto and District Larkana General Secretary Ijaz Ahmed Leghari said the people of Larkana celebrated Pakistan’s victory with enthusiasm on May 9, and praised the role and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
