PTI leader for better ties with Afghanistan

CHARSADDA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member of the National Assembly Ali Muhammad Khan has said that Maulana Muhammad Idrees was a respected religious scholar, and that his martyrdom was a tragedy for the entire nation and the Muslim Ummah.

He said that the government must utilise all available resources to bring the killers of Sheikh Muhammad Idrees to justice He expressed these views while talking to reporters after offering fateha for the departed soul of Sheikh Muhammad Idrees in Tarangzai.

Responding to a question, Ali Muhammad Khan said that mediation between Iran and the United States and efforts to prevent war were positive steps, but initiating reconciliation with “our Afghan Muslim brothers” would also be in the country’s best interest.

He said that the Afghan govt should seriously reconsider its relations with India.
