Islamabad : Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU) held its 12th Convocation-2026 on Saturday, at the Jinnah Convention Centre, says a press release.
A total of 772 graduates were awarded degrees in different disciplines, including Health Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, Social Sciences and Humanities, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computing, and Allied Health Sciences.
The ceremony was graced by the founding Vice Chancellor of Riphah International University, Islamabad, Prof. Anis Ahmad, Sitara-i-Imtiaz (SI), as the chief guest.
Chancellor of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Dr. Manzoor ul Haq Qazi, in his address, urged graduates to use their knowledge and skills for the betterment of society and the service of humanity.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Khan congratulated the graduating students on achieving a major milestone in their academic journey. He highlighted the university’s growing role in advancing higher education, research, innovation, and professional excellence in Pakistan.
In his keynote address, Prof. Anis Ahmad emphasized the transformative power of education in shaping societies and strengthening economies. He highlighted the importance of empowering youth through meaningful educational and professional opportunities to bridge the gap between talent and employment. He also commended the graduates for their hard work and encouraged them to serve the nation with dedication, integrity, and compassion.
The chairperson of the convocation ceremony, Prof. Fahad Azam, administered the graduates’ oath, reaffirming the values of ethical practice, professional responsibility, and service to humanity.
The convocation also celebrated outstanding academic achievement. PhD degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nursing were conferred, while 71 Academic Excellence Medals-including 46 gold medals and 25 silver medals-were awarded to high-achieving students in recognition of their exceptional academic performance across multiple disciplines.
The 12th Convocation-2026 marked another significant milestone in STMU’s journey of academic excellence and institutional growth, reaffirming the university’s commitment to nurturing competent, compassionate, and future-ready professionals dedicated to the service of humanity.
