RIU hosts open house, job fair

Islamabad : The Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University (RIU) successfully hosted its flagship event, Open House and Job Fair 2026, aimed at fostering stronger collaboration between academia and the IT industry, says a press release.

The event was formally inaugurated by Wahaj Siraj, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Nayatel, alongside Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of the university. The ceremony marked the beginning of a vibrant platform connecting students with leading industry stakeholders.

Approximately 25 prominent organizations from the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in the event. Notable companies included MTBC, Inara Technologies, Funsol Technologies, EBRYX, ITSOLERA, Synergy IT, and several other emerging technology firms. The event provided students with valuable exposure to current industry trends, networking opportunities, and direct recruitment pathways.

The event’s primary focus was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, while streamlining hiring processes and enabling companies to identify and recruit talented graduates. Students showcased innovative projects, reflecting the growing capabilities of Pakistan’s young IT professionals.

Following the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmed hosted. Wahaj Siraj for a meeting at his office, where both leaders discussed strategies for expanding employment opportunities and strengthening industry-academia collaboration. Emphasis was placed on nurturing not only technical expertise but also the psychological and professional development of students to prepare them for impactful roles in society.

Speaking on the occasion, Siraj highlighted the importance of developing well-rounded individuals who can contribute meaningfully to national progress, underscoring the need for confidence, adaptability, and a growth-oriented mindset among graduates.

The event concluded on a high note, reaffirming Riphah International University’s commitment to empowering students and enhancing their employability through sustained engagement with the industry.
