The continuous rise in fuel prices in Pakistan is contributing significantly to the growing food crisis. Higher fuel costs increase the cost of transportation, farming and food production, which directly affects the prices of essential food items such as wheat, vegetables, milk and other daily necessities. Low-income and middle-class families are facing the greatest difficulties because many can no longer afford healthy and nutritious meals. As food prices continue to rise, some families are forced to reduce their daily food intake or depend on cheaper and lower quality products. The government must implement effective policies to control fuel prices and ensure that affordable food is available to all citizens.
