Bilal reviews law, order situation, repatriation of Afghan refugees

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Housing and Co-Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order Punjab, Bilal Yaseen, chaired a meeting at the Home Department and reviewed the overall law and order situation across all districts of Punjab, as well as the repatriation of Afghan refugees in detail.

Additionally, arrangements for foolproof security and smooth traffic flow during the PSL were also reviewed. In view of the current regional situation, it was decided to further tighten security at sensitive locations, places of worship, and public areas.

Bilal Yaseen stated that complete publicity of the list of proscribed organisations must be ensured in all districts before Eidul Azha. He further directed that all departments should adopt a coordinated strategy to ensure implementation of the SOPs issued by the Home Department. The minister expressed satisfaction over the performance of the district administration and law enforcement agencies. Deputy commissioners from all districts participated in the meeting via a video link.
