LAHORE: Two lawyers were injured after unidentified assailants opened fire in Iqbal Town area.The victims, identified as Nasir and Faisal Ameen, were targeted by gunmen and sustained injuries in the attack. They were shifted to hospital.
Police said a case was registered on the complaint of Advocate Ejaz. The FIR nominates two suspects, identified as Nazakat and Salman.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a long-standing enmity between the suspects and the injured lawyers may have been the motive behind the attack.
Model Town police have arrested a man for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a 9-year old girl after finding her alone at home.
The suspect, identified as Wakeel was taken into custody from Sabzazar area at his in-laws’ house following a police operation.The incident occurred in Model Town jurisdiction when the accused, taking advantage of the girl being alone at home, tried to commit the sexual assault.
The minor raised an alarm, causing the suspect to flee from the scene.Upon receiving the complaint, Model Town police launched a search and arrested Wakeel from Sabzazar. A case was registered against him.
