Faulty ATM

I recently visited a National Bank of Pakistan branch to withdraw my monthly pension. Sadly, as is often the case at this branch, the ATM was out of order. This is the only NBP branch in my area and the others are quite far away. Since I really needed the money, I rushed towards the nearest branch of another bank. I ended up having to pay an additional charge of Rs70. I am a poor person drawing a meagre pension and having to frequently pay Rs70 extra because of a faulty ATM is a major financial burden for me.

Many pensioners visit this branch and face the same problem. I have asked the branch staff to keep their ATM machine in working order several times, but all in vain. I have also tried my best to lodge a complaint via the NBP’s online portal but it appears to be inactive. I would like the concerned authorities to take notice of this issue and come up with a solution.
