Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced a one-month extension in the targeted fuel subsidy for motorbike owners in the province, offering continued financial relief to low-income segments grappling with rising petrol prices.
The subsidy scheme, which was due to expire on Thursday, will now remain in place, ensuring that eligible motorbike owners across the province can continue to benefit from government support. The move underscores the provincial government’s commitment to cushioning vulnerable communities from the impact of escalating fuel costs.
Under the initiative, the provincial government has been providing a subsidy of Rs2,000 per motorbike per month to ease the burden of increased petrol prices. With the extension now confirmed, beneficiaries will be able to avail themselves of this relief for a longer period.
