Cabinet XI beat Officers’ XI by 37 runs

LAHORE: Punjab Cabinet XI defeated Officers XI by 37 runs in an exhibition cricket match at Nawab Town Cricket on Thursday.

Provincial Cabinet XI was led by Bilal Yasin while the Officers XI was led by Secretary Auqaf Dr Ehsan Bhutta. Provincial Cabinet XI scored 110 runs while batting first.

Provincial Minister Sohail Shaukat Butt scored 44 runs, Faisal Khokhar 30 runs while Sher Ali Gorchani scored 20 runs. In reply, the Officers XI bundled out for 73 runs losing the match by 37 runs.

Punjab Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar also inaugurated Nawab Town Cricket Sports Complex on this occasion. The Nawab Town Stadium was constructed at a cost of Rs 110 million.
