From 2000 to 2026, there has been a significant decline in Balochistan’s forest cover. Both natural and man-made factors have caused this change. Floods have destroyed many trees and also prevented new ones from growing while people are still cutting them down for fuel. It is time we focus on restoring Balochistan’s green cover and increasing it further.
To protect Balochistan’s forests, we must reduce the rate of deforestation and plant as many trees as possible. An abundance of trees leads to several benefits including increased rainfall and they are an important part of our natural heritage.
