The Islamabad negotiations have not delivered a resolution to the US-Iran war thus far and the process seems to have stalled. Nevertheless, Pakistan deserves full credit for its mediating role. The US has now blockaded Iranian ports and shipping. Such actions by US President Trump are highly destructive and could result in a third world war.
According to the United Nations Development Programme, more than 32 million people around the world could be plunged into poverty by the economic fallout of the is-Iran US war. Undoubtedly, war is development in reverse.
