The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Karachi foiled an attempt by two passengers to travel abroad using fake immigration record.

According to the FIA officials, the action was taken at Jinnah International Airport where two passengers were offloaded during routine immigration clearance. The passengers were identified as Ihsanullah and Anwar Ali, residents of Buner.

Officials said both individuals were attempting to travel to Malaysia on visit visas when their documents were flagged during scrutiny. Examination of their passports revealed suspicious immigration stamps of Malaysia, Oman and Karachi.

During questioning, the passengers confessed to obtaining fake stamps through agents. Authorities noted multiple technical discrepancies in the stamps, including irregularities in font, spacing and security features.

Further verification through the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) confirmed that the passengers had no valid travel history. The FIA offloaded both individuals and handed them over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for initiation of legal action.
