Islamabad to have Federal Reserve Division HQ

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to build the headquarters of Federal Reserve Division in Islamabad. The development came in the context of security of the federal capital.

The headquarter will be constructed in Sector H-11. The task of construction has been assigned by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to CDA.

The CDA’s Procurement and Contracts Directorate has invited applications from construction companies for pre-qualification until May 11.

The headquarters will be built on 27.5 acres and its PC-1 has already been prepared. The estimated cost of construction is Rs3.8 billion, and it will be completed within one year.

The project includes barracks for the personnel, residential quarters for officers, an administrative block, a mess, as well as construction of a boundary wall and check posts. The boundary wall will be 5,000 feet long. The CDA Works Directorate and a consultant firm will supervise the project.
