ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation of senior civil servants from Bangladesh, accompanied by the Civil Services Academy (CSA) director general and faculty members, called on the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) Chief Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan on Tuesday.

The meeting was also attended by the FCC judges — Justice Aamer Farooq, Justice Ali Baqar Najafi and Justice Arshad Hussain Shah — and the Registrar.

The Bangladeshi delegation expressed their gratitude to the FCC chief justice and the judges for affording them the opportunity for an in-depth interaction on constitutional adjudication and judicial reforms in Pakistan.

They appreciated the significance of the establishment of the FCC and acknowledged the importance of specialised constitutional forums in strengthening democratic institutions and protecting citizens’ rights.

During the meeting, the chief justice observed that the principal objective behind the FCC establishment was to ensure swift and effective constitutional justice through expedited disposal of cases while safeguarding constitutional supremacy and the fundamental rights of the people.

The chief justice emphasised the importance of regional cooperation, institutional learning and exchange of governance experiences between brotherly countries. He noted that such engagements contribute positively towards strengthening public institutions and promoting mutual understanding in the areas of constitutional governance and public administration.

The CSA director general thanked the chief justice and judges for hosting the delegation and for sharing comprehensive insights into the FCC functioning. He appreciated the court’s commitment to constitutionalism, institutional efficiency and the delivery of justice. The meeting concluded with a cordial exchange of views and best wishes for continued cooperation and professional engagement between institutions dedicated to governance, leadership development and constitutional rule.
