KHAR/LAKKI MARWAT: A police constable was martyred in a targeted shooting incident in the Mamund tehsil of Bajaur district, while a girls’ school was blown up in Lakki Marwat district, as terrorist activities continue to escalate across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to police, unidentified armed men opened fire in the Brakhlozo area of Mamund tehsil of Bajaur district on Tuesday, killing Constable Imtiaz on the spot. The attackers managed to flee the scene immediately after the incident.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Niaz Muhammad also confirmed the incident, stating that efforts were underway to arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible. Local sources said that this is part of a concerning trend of targeted killings in the region. Meanwhile, a girl’s primary school was blown up with explosives in the Bhittani area in Lakki Marwat district, a police official said.
