LAHORE : Hot weather with partly cloudy conditions was witnessed in the provincial capital here on Saturday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The average AQI of the city was 104, which fell in the category of unhealthy for sensitive group while the PM2.5 concentration was 4.6 times the World Health Organisation (WHO) annual PM2.5 guideline value.
Despite the presence of partly cloudy conditions, the sun’s warmth was also maintained. Met officials said winds blown at a speed of eight kilometers per hour in the city while the maximum temperature reached 40°C.
They said the weather was slightly better in the early morning due to the presence of clouds, however, the temperature increased during the day. They further said that the humidity ratio in the air was 31 percent.
