LAHORE : The investigation into the killing of three children in Ichhra has been handed over to the Crime Control Department (CCD).
Sources said the case has been declared a model case, and investigations have been expanded. A CCD team traveled to Jhang and included the suspect woman’s alleged friend, Shehryar, in the investigation.
Sources added that the suspect and Shehryar had close relations and intended to marry. It remains unclear whether he had prior knowledge of the crime. Officials said all aspects are being examined to determine motives and responsibility.
Kahna Police arrested a suspect in a rape case and registered a case against him.
According to the spokesperson, the suspect Sajid allegedly entered a house by scaling a wall at night and assaulted a woman at gunpoint. He initially escaped but was later arrested from Karkalan village using human intelligence. The suspect has been handed over to the Gender Cell for further investigation.
