Triple murder case: Investigation exposes woman’s link with accomplice

LAHORE: Investigations into the killing of three siblings in the Ichhra area have taken a new turn after police uncovered alleged links between the accused mother and a man from Jhang.

According to police sources, the suspect, identified as Rida, was in contact with a man named Shehryar through WhatsApp and mobile phone communications, the two were in contact through online financial transactions, through which the suspect allegedly received money. Police sources claimed that Rida intended to marry Shehryar, while her children were an obstacle to the relationship. However, officials stressed that these findings remain part of the ongoing investigation and have not yet been formally established in court. 

Following initial questioning, police released the woman’s husband, Ramzan, after determining that he was not directly linked to the incident. Investigators said Shehryar would also be questioned as part of the probe. In a major development, CCTV footage showed the accused leaving the house shortly after the incident.

According to investigators, the killings are believed to have taken place before 10am on the day of the tragedy. The footage shows the suspect moving outside the residence, observing the surroundings, and later leaving the area. Police also said preliminary evidence suggests an attempt to alter the crime scene after the incident. However, they added that final conclusions would be drawn after forensic analysis and completion of the investigation.
