LAHORE: Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has personally conducted the final round of interviews for the appointment of chairpersons of the province’s education boards.
A spokesperson to the provincial minister said that more than 250 candidates were interviewed overall, out of which 50 were shortlisted for the final stage.
The minister himself assessed each candidate, focusing on their awareness of technology, management skills, and understanding of examination systems.
He also tested their knowledge of artificial intelligence and asked them to share their vision for AI-based reforms and transparency measures in board operations.
The candidates were specifically questioned about the reforms they would introduce if appointed as chairperson.
The minister claimed that the process was being carried out strictly on merit with no favouritism or recommendations.
He said that merit-based appointments of board chairpersons will further improve the examination process and ensure greater transparency across Punjab.
