MANSEHRA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on Thursday relocated a police station from the lower parts of Kaghan valley to Naran after the clearance of the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) Road.

“We have reopened our police station in Naran, and all posts established along the MNJ Road will be made operational as glaciers are cut and snow is removed,” Sabir Khan, superintendent of police (SP) Balakot, told reporters.

The SP, accompanied by police personnel and the SHO, visited the Naran police station, which has reopened after remaining closed for around six months.“This police station was shifted to the lower Kaghan Valley and made functional after the MNJ Road was closed to all kinds of traffic in November last year,” he added.

He said that the posts established along the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad (MNJ) Road, which were closed due to the closure of the artery connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit-Baltistan, would also be reopened as snow clearance progresses.
