Honour killing, locally known as Karo Kari, remains a severe issue in Sindh. Recently, a young woman was shot dead in an alleged Karo-Kari incident in Bhutto Chandio village near Khairpur, with the FIR revealing shocking details of the murder carried out in front of police and villagers. This incident has shocked the entire province. I would like to appeal to the Sindh government to take action against honour killings.
