LAHORE: The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has confirmed that a Combined Training Camp for U-17 and U-18 national teams will begin on Saturday at the Pakistan Sports Board Coaching Centre, Islamabad.

This initiative is part of PVF’s broader strategy to prepare young athletes for major international competitions. The junior squads are being readied for two significant tournaments: the AVC Boys’ U18 Volleyball Championship scheduled from July 12 to 18, 2026, in Manama, Bahrain, and the FIVB Boys’ U17 World Championship set to take place from August 19 to 29, 2026, in Doha, Qatar. Both events will provide Pakistan’s emerging talent with invaluable exposure and an opportunity to showcase their skills on the global stage.

The year 2026 also holds great importance for the senior national team. They will participate in the CAVA Championship from July 3 to 10 in Lahore, followed by the prestigious Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. These events highlight Pakistan’s growing presence in regional and international volleyball.

To further strengthen preparations and identify top talent, the PVF will host the 55th National Volleyball Championship from May 19 to 25, 2026. This domestic competition will serve as a crucial platform for player selection and performance evaluation, ensuring that both junior and senior squads are equipped with the best available talent.

The Federation reiterated its commitment to the long-term development of volleyball in Pakistan, emphasizing structured training programs, international exposure, and competitive opportunities at all levels.
