Islamia College student wins top athlete title

PESHAWAR: Ataullah, a second-year student of Islamia College Peshawar, has won the “Best Athlete” title at the All Pakistan Inter-Board Games 2025-26.

According to a statement, the competition, organised by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar, was held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Athletes from across the country participated in the event.

Ataullah delivered an outstanding performance, securing first position in three major track events.He completed the 100-metre race in 10.56 seconds, the 200-metre race in 21.39 seconds, and the 400-metre race in 48.20 seconds. His exceptional performance not only earned him top honours but also saw him set new records in the competition.

A ceremony was held to honour the athlete. It was attended by Registrar Dr Mansoor Jalali, Deputy Registrar Shabbir Ahmad, Treasurer Fakhar Alam, Additional Director Admissions Aamir Izhar, Muhammad Nawaz, and Athletics Coach Naveed Ahmad.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Ahmed Rehman Saljoqi congratulated Ataullah on his achievement, stating that Islamia College Peshawar has a long-standing tradition of producing outstanding athletes. He termed Ataullah’s success a continuation of that legacy and a moment of pride for the institution.
