LAHORE : The Punjab Health Department has written a reminder letter to PMDC on the issue of increase in seats in government medical colleges.
The letter states that the Punjab government had requested for an increase of 475 seats in government medical colleges on August 21, 2025.
Later, this matter was considered in the PMDC Council meeting and its approval was given in principle.
However, formal permission and notification for increase in seats has not been received yet. It is requested that this process be completed as soon as possible and this matter be dealt with on an emergency basis to make the 2026-27 admission session possible.
