KARACHI: Gold prices fell by Rs700 per tola on Saturday, following a decline in the international bullion rates.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) said 24-karat gold dropped to Rs496,962 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold fell Rs600 to Rs426,064.
The prices dropped by $7 in international markets, where gold settled at $4,746 per ounce. Local prices in Pakistan are typically benchmarked to global rates with a premium of $20 per ounce.
Silver rates, however, increased by Rs50 to Rs8,064. The 10-gram rate also rose by Rs43 to Rs6,913.
