KARACHI: National Foods Limited reported a profit of Rs5.198 billion in the first nine months of FY2025-26, driven by operational efficiency and strong export growth.

Company officials said exports increased to Rs4.698 billion in FY2025 from Rs1.476 billion in FY2020, reflecting more than threefold growth over the period. North America and the GCC remained the company’s largest export markets, supported by growing ethnic populations and rising demand for international cuisines.

Officials briefed journalists during a visit to the company’s Port Qasim plant, saying recipe mixes, pickles and sauces were among the leading export categories. They added that the company was also focusing on import substitution and local value chain development, including initiatives related to tomatoes and chillies to reduce reliance on imports and strengthen domestic sourcing.

The Port Qasim facility, one of the company’s oldest manufacturing sites, produces 263 products and handles a major share of spice packaging for local and export markets. The plant is also the company’s core site for pickle manufacturing.

National Foods said the facility holds ISO, BRCGS and Halal certifications and recently received the ‘Green Environmental Stewardship’ Award for 2025 and 2026 for its effluent treatment plant case study.
