LAHORE:A 63-year old woman died after being struck by a speeding car while crossing the road in the Model Town area.
The woman was crossing a busy road when she was hit by a fast-moving vehicle, resulting in her death on the spot.
The driver fled the scene along with the vehicle after the incident.The deceased was identified as Zainab. Police shifted the body to the morgue.
A 21-year old man was found dead with his throat slit in suspicious circumstances in the Liaquatabad area. According to police, body of Wasim Abdul Jabbar was recovered from a house within the jurisdiction of Liaquatabad police station, lying in a pool of blood.
Officials said the victim’s throat appeared to have been cut from behind, allegedly with a wood-cutting saw.
The handwritten note found from the deceased’s pocket initially suggested the possibility of suicide; however, investigators have not ruled out foul play.Police said that the family of the deceased stated he had previously attempted suicide. Body was shifted to the morgue.
