17 students receive awards under PM’s Laptop Scheme

MINGORA: Over 17 deserving students were awarded laptop at the Agricultural University Swat, under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme on Friday.Prof Dr Muhammad Akmal was the guest of honour of the event, which was attended Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Dawood Jan and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Akmal appreciated initiatives aimed at strengthening higher education through technology and stressed the importance of digital skills in today’s academic environment. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Dawood Jan reaffirmed the university’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and expanding student support programs.

The students expressed gratitude for the support, saying the laptops would significantly help them in their studies, research work and online learning activities.At the conclusion of the event, a commemorative shield was presented to Prof Dr Muhammad Akmal in recognition of his contributions. The vice-chancellor reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continuing such academic and research-oriented activities to provide students with global learning and professional development opportunities.Earlier, Akbar Khan, Advisor to the Establishment and Finance, briefed the guest about the establishment and achievements of the university.
