ISLAMABAD: Pir Muhammad Masood Chishti, Vice-Chairman of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and Munir Ahmed Malik, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Pakistan Bar Council have appreciated and commended the role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in successful mediation efforts that have resulted in the cessation of hostilities between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, and the subsequent reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement issued here on Thursday they have expressed profound appreciation to the government of Pakistan for its diligent and constructive diplomatic initiatives in securing the ceasefire.They expressed that Pakistan’s timely and principled engagement has played a pivotal role in de-escalating tensions and restoring peace in the region.
