FDA DG orders crackdown on defaulters

FAISALABAD: Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has directed for strict legal action against the defaulters and said that the properties of those, who fail to pay commercialisation fees and other outstanding amounts despite repeated notices, should be sealed immediately.

He ordered Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind to conduct daily monitoring of progress regarding revenue recovery and to initiate disciplinary action against staff showing negligence in achieving revenue targets. In this regard, Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind convened a special meeting to review the pace of recovery of outstanding dues under different heads.

Director Estate Management Junaid Hassan Manj, Director Town Planning-I Afnan Saeed Sandhu, Deputy Directors Adnan Shahzad, Afzal Ansari, Abdullah Noor, Mohsin Bashir, Bilal Ahmad, Assistant Director Recovery Mian Akhtar, and other officers attended the meeting. The ADG issued warnings to the concerned staff over poor performance in achieving revenue recovery targets and emphasised that no negligence or laxity in recovering dues would be tolerated.

He further directed that recovery of outstanding commercialisation fees should be ensured on a priority basis and that illegal commercialisation should be identified, with legal action taken against violators.
