Rawalpindi:Strict measures are being implemented to ensure transparency in the examination system and to eliminate cheating mafias, said BISE Rawalpindi Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan.

Chairman BISE Rawalpindi, Engineer Aamir Khattak, has initiated a full-scale crackdown against cheating networks under a zero-tolerance policy. The Controller Thursday conducted a surprise visit to the examination center at Government High School Ghora Gali, Murree, where Chemistry and General Science papers were in progress for the SSC Examination.

During the inspection, misuse of an adjacent vacant room was uncovered. Solved answer sheets of three candidates were recovered from the possession of an IT teacher, while no candidates were present at the scene.

Initially, it was claimed that the candidates had already completed their papers and left, however, this claim proved false as even half of the paper time had not yet elapsed, clearly indicating misrepresentation and a serious violation of examination rules.

Considering gravity of the incident, the Controller took immediate action and removed five officials from examination duty on the spot, including the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, invigilation staff, and the concerned IT teacher.

Chairman BISE expressed strong displeasure over the incident and made it clear that any form of corruption, mismanagement or involvement of cheating mafias in the examination process will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

He directed the relevant authorities to initiate immediate and merit-based disciplinary proceedings against the involved officials under the PEEDA Act, ensuring identification of those responsible and awarding strict punishment in accordance with the law.
