Rawalpindi:The Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has finalised all arrangements for its Qurbani Fi Sabilillah project across 13 organisational regions of the country, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. A central control room established at Alkhidmat’s head office is monitoring the nationwide Qurbani operation.
Secretary General of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Syed Waqas Jafri, visited the central control room and said that Alkhidmat had allocated a budget of Rs1.29 billion for its Qurbani project aimed at supporting orphans, widows, persons with disabilities, the poor, and other deserving families.
With the support of Pakistanis, overseas Pakistanis, and various national and international partner organizations, the target has been successfully achieved. By the grace of Allah, Alkhidmat will sacrifice 6,000 cattle and 4,000 small animals across Pakistan, and the meat will be distributed to deserving beneficiaries in a dignified manner.
Syed Waqas Jafri further stated that Palestinian students studying in Pakistan under the hospitality of Alkhidmat Foundation have also been included in the Qurbani activities. A special Qurbani and barbecue event will be organized in Islamabad for 300 Palestinian students from Gaza, where they will personally participate in the sacrifice, enjoy the Qurbani meat, and share in the joy of Eid.
Similarly, an Eid gathering and dinner will be arranged for 100 Palestinian students studying in Lahore during Eid-ul-Azha. He also paid tribute to Alkhidmat volunteers who dedicate their Eid celebrations to serving deserving communities.
Earlier, Zikrullah Mujahid, Vice President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, said that to ensure the efficient distribution of Qurbani meat to orphans, widows, and needy families across the country, the services of modern slaughterhouses have been acquired in major cities, including Karachi and Lahore.
