Punjab Cabinet body pays tribute to PM, CDF

LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, Khawaja Salman Rafique, on Thursday said that Pakistan has been blessed with great honour and respect at the international level, particularly in terms of negotiations.

The Cabinet Committee also congratulated PM Shehbaz Sharif and CDF Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir on the international recognition of Pakistan.He paid tribute to the army, law enforcement agencies, and police personnel for sacrificing their lives to establish peace in the country.

He expressed these views while presiding over the 51st meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order held at the Home Department. Provincial Ministers Bilal Yasin and Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharath also attended the meeting.

During the session, Secretary Home Punjab DrAhmed JavedQazi briefed participants on the latest law and order situation across the province.The committee conducted a detailed review and expressed satisfaction over ongoing efforts to maintain peace.

Khawaja Salman stated that ensuring the protection of life and property remains the state’s top priority.He added that foolproof security arrangements have been made for Vaisakhi Festival 2026 across the province.

Provincial Minister Bilal Yasin highlighted that Pakistan’s positive image has been recognized globally and termed it a proud moment in the country’s history.He directed all institutions to ensure strict security arrangements during Eid, PSL matches, and Easter celebrations.

Provincial Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharath appreciated the efforts of all institutions working for peace, stating that Pakistan has been blessed with great honors.Secretary Home DrAhmed JavedQazi reiterated that all possible efforts are being made to maintain peace and order in Punjab.

He added that the capacity of law enforcement agencies is being enhanced through modern technology and professional training.The meeting was attended by Special Secretary FazalurRehman, Additional IG Operations, DIG Special Branch and CTD, SSP CTD, Additional Secretary Internal Security, and other concerned officials.Commissioners, RPOs, Deputy Commissioners, and DPOs from across Punjab also participated via video link.
