LAHORE:The results of Grade-8 examinations in Punjab have been announced according to which the overall pass percentage stands at 88 percent.
Punjab Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat formally inaugurated the online portal for result access. Students from public schools can now check their Grade-8 results at: pectaa.edu.pk
Congratulating the successful students and the entire PECTAA team, the minister stated that the results were compiled within a record period of just 30 days. He highlighted that, for the first time in Pakistan, examination papers were marked using technology-based machine marking. Transparency in the marking process was ensured through the use of Artificial Intelligence. The minister further announced that machine marking will also be implemented for Matric and Intermediate examinations in the future. To ensure transparency, QR codes were also printed on the examination papers. On this occasion, the minister also announced honorarium for the assessment team. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also congratulated the successful students through her official social media accounts.
Daanish School students excel
The students of Daanish Schools overall secured top three positions in the Punjab Grade 8 examinations conducted under Punjab Education Curriculum Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA). According to a press release, Iqra Khan from Daanish School Mianwali (Girls) achieved first position with 364 marks. RomaisaIman from Daanish School Attock (Girls) secured second position with 358.5 marks while Fatima Bibi from Daanish School Hasilpur (Girls) obtained third position with 358 marks across the province.
