Islamabad: The Islamabad Police officially inaugurated ‘Ghazi Week’, a dedicated week of remembrance and honour intended to celebrate the decorated officers and personnel, who have displayed exceptional courage in the line of duty.

This initiative serves as a formal recognition of the sacrifices made by the force to maintain the peace and security of the capital. According to a spokesperson, the commemorative event will run from April 6 through April 12 across all police divisions.

Throughout the week, various ceremonies will be held to present awards and formal citations to ‘Ghazi’ officers and those who have received gallantry medals for their service. These events are designed to highlight the individual stories of bravery that define the department's operational history.
