Islamabad:The Capital Police have released a performance report here Monday, detailing a series of high-impact operations conducted by the Dolphin Force during the first quarter of 2026.
The specialised unit's efforts are part of a broader strategic initiative to fortify public safety and curb criminal activity across the capital. Through a combination of snap checking, smart patrolling, and the deployment of strategic checkpoints, the Dolphin Force successfully intercepted 201 suspicious individuals.
Among those detained were 31 illegal foreign nationals, all of whom have been transferred to respective police stations for legal processing. In a significant blow to organised crime, the force also apprehended 272 individuals classified as proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals, effectively removing high-risk suspects from the streets.
The first three months of the year saw a rigorous crackdown on the possession of illicit arms and the theft of private property. The authorities reported the recovered 22 pistols (various calibers), 15 guns, one dagger, and a substantial cache of ammunition, 11 vehicles and 66 motorcycles were recovered following targeted operations against robbery and automotive theft rings.
And multiple drug traffickers were taken into custody, resulting in the seizure of significant quantities of various narcotics. “We are utilizing every available resource to eliminate criminal elements and maintain the rule of law," the spokesperson stated. "The Dolphin Force remains at the forefront of our mission to ensure Islamabad remains a safe and secure environment for all."
