Islamabad:Two armed motorcyclists looted a staggering Rs4.4 million from a shop cashier and a security guard in broad daylight on Monday, targeting the victims directly in front of a private bank within the jurisdiction of the Bhara Kahu Police Station.

According to police sources, the victims were en route to deposit the substantial sum when they were intercepted by the assailants. The gunmen, riding a motorcycle, held the duo at gunpoint near the bank entrance, forcibly seizing the cash before fleeing the scene.

The victims have been identified as a local shop cashier accompanying security guard. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. While the robbery has been confirmed by the police, an FIR had not been formally registered at the time of filing this report.

“We are currently gathering evidence and reviewing available surveillance footage to identify the suspects," a police official stated. No arrests have been made so far and authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward.
