The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Karachi immigration wing has carried out several operations against human smuggling and illegal immigration.

A woman arriving from the United Arab Emirates was rescued after being identified as a victim of human smuggling and forced prostitution, said an FIA spokesperson. Initial investigations revealed the involvement of individuals identified as Mohsin, Anam and Kashif.

Three passengers, Adil Ahmed, Syed Faisal Shah Bukhari and Shehbaz Ahmed, who were travelling to Turkey, were offloaded due to suspicious travel documents. Investigations further uncovered that agents Zahid and Mujeeb were involved in visa fraud.

A resident of Abbottabad, Amanullah Khan, was offloaded for possessing a fake Turkish visa. The suspect admitted to obtaining the fraudulent visa through an agent named Rizwan. Another passenger, Abdullah from Gujrat, was offloaded for attempting to be smuggled to Italy via Morocco. The plan was orchestrated by agent Muzammil Farooq.

All the offloaded individuals were transferred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) for legal proceedings, officials said, adding that investigations were under way, and raids were being conducted to arrest other individuals involved.
