LAHORE : Wasa MD Ghufran Ahmed while chairing an online review meeting here on Saturday, said that strict action will be taken against officers found negligent in their duties.
He said Wasa Lahore is always active for public service according to the vision of the Punjab government. He instructed the officers to expedite development projects and sanitation operations.
Detailed review of the performance of ongoing development schemes and field operations under Lahore Development Programme Phase II was also done in the meeting.
The meeting was told that work on Lahore Development Programme Phase-II was 94 percent completed and project entered in the final stage of completion. Wasa MD directed to further accelerated development projects.
Wasa MD also ensured timely completion of Lahore Development Programme projects at all costs. He said providing best drainage facilities to citizens should be the top priority.
He further directed to continue de-silting operation effectively as per the set schedule and ordered to pay special attention to regular cleaning of roadside drains. He further directed to continuously and specifically monitor the conditions of manhole covers.
