LAHORE : Punjab Minister for Energy and Sports Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar said that major initiatives are underway for the promotion of sports in line with the directions of CM Maryam Nawaz.
“Provision of modern sports facilities to the people is the top priority of the government”.
He said this during his visit to Hanif Muhammad Cricket Stadium and Gymnasium Hall at Hafizabad.
He said that provision of flood lights, astro turf and modern sports infrastructure are part of the government’s vision.
“Participation of youth in maximum sports activities is the only way keep them away from negative activities. All resources are being utilized for timely completion of projects.”
Khokhar directed the officials concerned to improve the quality and speed of development projects and complete the renovation of sports gymnasium in two months.
He said that a formal talent hunt scheme is going to start across the province.
“The work on the formation of cricket teams and the upgradation of stadiums in every district is being accelerated”.
