ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday issued the election schedule for the vacant seat of disqualified PTI Senator Murad Saeed, according to which April 23 has been set as the date for polling to be held in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
The public notice to invite filing of nomination papers will be issued today (April 3) and it will be followed by filing of the same on April 6-7, whereas the date for publication of names of the nominated candidates is April 8.
Similarly, April 10 has been fixed as the last date for scrutiny of nomination papers while the last date for filing of appeals against acceptance or rejection of nominations is April 13. The last date for disposal of appeals by the tribunal is April 15 and the revised list of candidates will be published next day and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is April 17.
The polling day will be conducted on April 23 from 9:00am to 4:00pm at the Provincial Assembly Building, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
