LAHORE:The LDA Governing Body has taken several decisions in its third meeting held under the chairmanship of LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghub Ahmed here on Wednesday.
Various agendas were approved and presented in the LDA Governing Body meeting in which the authority members were also briefed on the progress on the Lahore Master Plan by LDA DG Tahir Farooq.
In the meeting, in-principle approval was given to amend the policy for access area charges in LDA housing schemes and a service level agreement with PLRA for sifting of LDA records. It was informed in the briefing that the LDA has completed the sifting of 102,000 files and services will be obtained from PLRA to expedite the sifting process of the remaining files. In the meeting, it was recommended to acquire land on the land acquisition model as per the LDA Land Use Rules during the construction of missing links of structure plan roads. The agenda for changing the name of the Mohanlal Scheme was also approved in the meeting and the new name of this scheme will be now LDA Enclave.
The meeting was attended by the Governing Body Members, Technical Members Akbar Sheikh and Abdul Hanan, Additional DGs, Chief Metropolitan Planning, Chief Town Planner, Chief IT Officer, Director Housing, Director LDA Avenue One and relevant officers, including representatives from the Housing Department, P&D, Local Govt, Commissioner Office, NESPAK, representatives from the Finance Dept, TEPA and Commissioner Lahore.
