LAHORE: The Emir of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Lahore Ziauddin Ansari Advocate has alleged that due to the government's incompetence, flawed planning and persistent neglect, Lahore has become a land of problems.

Addressing a press conference at the Syed Maududi Islamic Centre alongside Secretary General Azhar Bilal, President Public Aid Committee Qaiser Sharif and other officials, Ansari highlighted that citizens are being deprived of basic facilities while facing life-threatening hazards. He pointed out that the alarming increase in stray dogs in streets and neighbourhoods has become a severe threat to residents.

He cited the death of a girl on Eid as a direct consequence of govt negligence. He flayed the traffic police for imposing heavy fines and ‘unjustified’ challans, alleging that the public is being burdened simply to meet multi-billion rupees revenue targets. He demanded the govt initiate an operation against stray dogs and cover all manholes.
