LAHORE:The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has awarded six National Research Programme for Universities (NRPU) Research Grants 2026, totaling Rs57million, to faculty members of Punjab University. 

The grant recipients include Dr Nayab Iftikhar from the Faculty of Behavioral & Social Sciences, Dr Kausar Malik, Dr Ayesha Latif, and Dr Saba Tasneem from the Faculty of Life Sciences; Dr Ahsan Sharif and Dr Fauzia Iqbal from the Faculty of Sciences. PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr M Ali congratulated the awardees and commended their dedication and academic excellence. 

He expressed confidence that these research projects would contribute significantly to innovation and knowledge advancement in their respective fields.
