LAHORE: Town Planning Wing of LDA carried a grand operation in its controlled area against illegal commercial constructions, illegal buildings here on Monday.
LDA teams conducted operations in different areas, 11 illegal constructions were demolished while 20 properties were sealed. LDA teams conducted operations in Avenue One, Jubilee Town, Eden Lane Villa Zone and several private schemes. The demolished properties included marquees, iron stores, restaurants, schools, workshops, sheds, boards and shops and for illegal commercial use, 20 properties sealed in private schemes for non-payment of commercial fees. The properties that were sealed included private schools, grocery stores, restaurants, food points, shops, offices, etc. The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali. He said indiscriminate action was being taken against illegal commercial buildings, commercial fee defaulters and properties.
